Gilley’s | Dallas, Texas
The nightclub scenes in “Urban Cowboy,” the 1980 John Travolta/Debra Winger film about the complexities of cowboy love, were filmed in the original Gilley’s Club, located in Pasadena, Texas. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Gilley’s was the largest nightclub in the world in terms of available space for patrons.
In 2003, Gilley’s reopened just blocks from downtown Dallas, featuring five private rooms and more than 65,000 square feet of event space. A Texas icon, Gilley’s offers the quintessential honky-tonk experience! Live music, line-dancing, a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament, fabulous food and yes…mechanical bull-riding.
The 2008 Welcome Reception promises to be a fun-filled evening in a truly memorable venue. Be sure to pack your boots and get ready to whoop it up with fellow attendees!

The IFMA Awards Banquet is an evening of celebration, honoring facility professionals, companies, organizations, educators, students, chapters and councils whose vision and accomplishments are extraordinary.
A perfect ending to a week dedicated to professional growth and the entire FM community, the Awards Banquet recognizes those who have made considerable contributions to the advancement of the facility management profession and to the Association. An awards presentation, dinner and dancing round out the evening. Black-tie preferred.
