When attendees book within the World Workplace housing block, it allows us to demonstrate the value of our conference to the host city, and therefore be eligible for significant discounts at local hotels and reduced meeting room rentals charged at the convention center. The fee to provide housing services to you is incorporated in the room rate. The discounts World Workplace receives are, in turn, passed on to you in the form of lower registration costs.
Carlson Wagonlit is the official housing bureau for IFMA’s World Workplace 2009 Conference & Expo. To qualify for the special conference rates, hotel reservations must be made and processed by Carlson Wagonlit (CWT). If you contact the hotels directly, you will be told that they are sold out.
Telephone reservations will not be accepted; however, if you have any questions, please contact CWT toll-free at +1-888-400-4362 or by e-mail at ifma@carlsonwagonlit.com (please identify yourself as an IFMA’s World Workplace attendee).
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) is the official housing bureau for IFMA’s World Workplace. The housing bureau will only book rooms at hotels within the block using previously negotiated rates that IFMA contracted years in advance. In most cases, CWT will contact World Workplace attendees and exhibitors only after hotel rooms have been secured. CWT will not contact you via telephone unless you contacted them first and asked them to return your call. If you are contacted by a housing provider other than Carlson Wagonlit Travel, please contact IFMA immediately by e-mail at events@ifma.org or by phone at +1-713-623-4362, ext. 180.
Please note that unofficial housing providers are often unable to provide complete services related to the show that are available through the official housing provider. Show Management works to prevent unauthorized solicitation of IFMA members and exhibitors and will pursue these companies to prevent future contact.

Each hotel requires a guarantee of a one-night per-room deposit. American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Master Card and Visa credit cards are accepted. Checks should be made payable to Carlson Wagonlit. Cash will not be accepted.

Carlson Wagonlit will acknowledge receipt of your housing assignments by e-mail or fax.

*Florida Green Lodging Program: Established in 2004 by Florida's Department of Environmental Protection, the Green Lodging Program recognizes lodging facilities that have made conscientious efforts to reduce water use, conserve electricity, decrease solid waste and improve air quality. Participating businesses are eligible for three levels of designation. Both the Rosen Centre and the Rosen Plaza have a Two Palm rating (the hotel has increased its environmental performance and maintained up-to-date green practices). Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be sent a folio with your complete air itinerary, reservation confirmation number (record locator) and car rental information.
U.S. Military and Federal Employees
Carlson Wagonlit is contracted as a travel management center with the General Services Administration. Contact Carlson Wagonlit for airline reservations and contract airfare information. Transportation Information & Shuttle Services
One of the benefits of staying at an official World Workplace hotel is convenient access to the convention center, the Pointe Orlando lifestyle center and the I-Ride Trolley system. You can get where you need to go without the additional costs of a rental car or parking fees. Plus, World Workplace will provide shuttle service to and from the special activities and events located off site.

Orlando Transportation Options
- Click here for approximate shuttle rates from the Orlando International Airport or Orlando Executive Airport to the hotels on International Drive (official World Workplace hotels).
- I-Ride Trolleys are a fun way to get around International Drive. Single fare is US$1.25 per ride. Senior citizen (65+) fare is .25 cents per ride. Children age 12 and under ride free (when accompanied by a paying adult). Exact change is required. Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.
- The city's Lynx bus system provides economical public transportation around Orlando. Bus stops are marked with a paw print. Click here for Lynx fares.
- The downtown Orlando Lymmo bus system provides free transit reaching from the T.D. Waterhouse Centre to City Hall. The 11 Lymmo stations are designated by kiosks, and the eight Lymmo stops are indicated by a small sign. Click here for Lymmo stops.

Taxis leaving the Orange County Convention Center are not regulated, so fares may vary (ex: one taxi may charge US$30, while another may charge US$60 for the same trip). Drivers have the right to charge what they see fit. Most taxis have calibrated meters, but they are not required. It is suggested that you ask the driver to use the meter or make sure you clearly understand the transportation fares in advance.
