IFMA’s Awards of Excellence honor facility professionals, associate members, educators, chapters and councils whose vision and accomplishments are extraordinary.

The IFMA Awards of Excellence program raises awareness of professional accomplishments made by IFMA members. Nominees and winners are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the FM profession. Advancing the facility management profession is the common thread that binds the Awards participants together.


Categories
Members may submit entries in the following 15 categories. Entries should comprise activities from May 1, 2008, through April 30, 2009. Award definitions and selection criteria are included with the nomination packages, available for download at www.ifma.org/aoe.

Award recipients will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Banquet, Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, in Orlando, Florida.

 

Nominations

Download nomination packages for each award category at www.ifma.org/events/aoe. All completed nomination packages and supporting exhibits must be received by IFMA no later than June 1, 2009. Any entries received after this date will be returned. No entry fees are required.

 

Only IFMA members in good standing may nominate a candidate. IFMA members are encouraged to nominate themselves. Chapters and councils must be recertified for the current year to be eligible for chapter and council awards.


Judging
Judges include a body of directors, the executive committee, IFMA staff, former board members, previous award winners and experts in the particular categories. The judges evaluate the nomination based solely on the information supplied in the nomination package and the supporting documentation submitted by the nominee. Judges reserve the right to withhold an award in any category if it is determined that no candidate meets the minimum criteria.
